Built from quarter-sawn white oak, this storm door was designed to fit an existing opening while visually echoing the historic entry door behind it. The quarter-sawn grain reveals distinctive flake patterns—an almost tiger-striped character—especially visible in the unfinished wood. Custom hardware and hinges were selected to solve the limited clearance between the storm door and the original door. Finished to complement the surrounding architecture, the new door feels as though it has always belonged to the home.
