Designed by Shane Martin of Subsanctuary for his client, these sculptural tables became what we would describes as “a bit of an engineering marvel.” Their twisting forms required extensive problem-solving and close collaboration to translate the design into stable, functional pieces. Many of their most distinctive construction details are subtle—and difficult to appreciate at first glance—but reflect the complexity behind the build. Challenging, exciting, and deeply personal, they remain among the pieces we are most proud of.
